Why does the thermos cup I purchased make abnormal noise inside after being used for a period of time?

Why is there abnormal noise inside the thermos cup? Can the abnormal noise that occurs be solved? Does the noisy water cup affect its use?

Before answering the above questions, I want to tell everyone how the thermos cup is produced. Of course, since there are many steps in the production of stainless steel water cups, we will not explain it from the beginning. We will focus on the production processes related to abnormal noise.

When the inner and outer bodies of the stainless steel water cup are welded together, but the bottom of the cup is still not welded, special processing is required on the bottom of the cup. This special processing is to weld the getter on the side of the bottom of the cup facing the inside of the water cup liner. Then the bottom of the cup is welded to the body of the water cup one by one in order. Usually the bottom of the stainless steel thermos cup is composed of 2 or 3 parts.

There will be a vacuum hole at the bottom of the cup for welding the getter. Before all water cups are evacuated, glass beads must be placed at the hole. After entering the vacuum furnace, the vacuum furnace will work continuously at a high temperature of 600°C for 4 hours. Because high-temperature heating will cause the air between the two sandwich walls to expand and be squeezed out of the sandwich between the two walls, at the same time, the glass beads placed in the vacuum holes after a long period of high temperature will be heated and melted to block the vacuum holes. However, the air between the walls will not be completely discharged due to the high temperature, and the remaining gas will be adsorbed by the getter that has been placed inside the bottom of the cup, thus creating a complete vacuum state between the walls of the water cup.

Why do some people experience internal abnormal noise after using it for a period of time?

This is caused by the abnormal sound caused by the getter on the bottom of the cup falling off. The getter has a metallic appearance. After falling off, shaking the water cup will make a sound when it collides with the cup wall.

As for why the getter falls off, we will share with you in detail in the next article.
