Why pure gold cannot produce thermos cups

Pure gold is a precious and special metal. Although it is widely used in various jewelry and handicrafts, it is not suitable for making thermos cups. The following are several objective reasons why pure gold cannot be used as a material for thermos cups:

thermos cups
1. Softness and variability: Pure gold is a relatively soft metal with relatively low hardness. This makes pure gold products susceptible to deformation and damage, making it difficult to maintain the structural stability of the thermos cup. Thermos cups usually need to withstand impacts, drops, etc. during use, and the softness of pure gold cannot provide sufficient impact resistance.

2. Thermal conductivity: Pure gold has good thermal conductivity, which means it can conduct heat quickly. When making a thermos cup, we usually hope that the internal heat can be effectively isolated to maintain the temperature of the drink. Since pure gold has strong thermal conductivity, it cannot provide effective thermal insulation properties and is therefore not suitable for use in the production of thermos cups.

3. High Cost: The price and scarcity of metals is a constraint. Pure gold is an expensive metal, and using pure gold to make a thermos cup will significantly increase the cost of the product. Such high cost not only makes the product difficult to mass-produce, but also does not meet the usual practical and economical characteristics of the thermos cup.
4. Metal reactivity: Metals have certain reactivity, especially towards some acidic substances. Thermos cups usually need to withstand drinks with different pH levels, and pure gold may react chemically with certain liquids, affecting the quality and health safety of the drinks.

Although pure gold has unique value in jewelry and decorations, its properties make it unsuitable for use in thermos cups. For thermos cups, our more common choices are to use stainless steel, plastic, glass and other materials, which provide better structural stability, thermal insulation performance, economy, and meet actual use needs.
